The Gilded Cage presents for two days only

Scrivelsby Folly Doll’s House at Kettle Hill Blakeney Norfolk will open to the public for the first time ever on the weekend of 1st and 2nd November 2008.

This original miniature country house estate includes a fine Georgian House with a parterre, garden, orchard, stableyard and ballroom. Commissioned and decorated by Frances Winch, this perfect one twelfth scale house is fully furnished. It is a showcase for the art of trompe l’oeil, hand-painted wallpaper and fabulous furniture as well as numerous objets d’art.

The fantastic decorative details are also testimony to the extraordinary talents of the late Peter Coke who provided much of the antique furniture as well as designing a unique shell and feather bedroom for the house.

This public event will also include a showcase for Fine Cell Work, the well-known charity which trains prisoners in exquisite embroidery and quilting.

Other Attractions for Adults and Children include Performances of Cinderella by the Banyan Puppet Theatre, live music from the Red Herrings and the Scrivelsby Folly Fantasies and other short films will be projected on the Silver Screen

We present you with the opportunity to purchase original and exotic Christmas gifts the like of which you have never seen before at prices to suit all purses - please see our merchandise page for more details.
